League Division 2: 1st (of 22) - 26 wins, 7 draws, 9 losses; 77 goals scored, 36 goals conceded

QPR continued play in League Division 2, of which they won and thus gained promotion to League Division 1. In the FA Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by West Bromwich Albion. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the second round by Rotherham United. At the beginning of the season, QPR had two tours. The first was a five game tour of Sweden and the second a three game tour of Ireland. At the conclusion of the season, QPR travelled to Oceania to play one match in Australia, three in New Zealand and two in New Caledonia.
