League Division 1: 19th (of 22) - 9 wins, 15 draws, 18 losses; 47 goals scored, 64 goals conceded

QPR continued play League Division 1, where they finished just above the relegation places. In the FA Cup, they were knocked out in the fifth round by Nottingham Forest after two replays. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by Aston Villa. At the beginning of the season, QPR had a four game tour of the West Germany and the Netherlands. At the end of the season, QPR travelled to Greece for a three game tour.
