League Division 1: 20th (of 22) - 6 wins, 13 draws, 23 losses; 45 goals scored, 73 goals conceded

QPR continued play League Division 1, where they finished third last and were relegated to League Division 2. In the FA Cup, they were knocked out in the third round by Fulham. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Leeds United. At the beginning of the season, QPR had a six game tour of the West Germany, Hungary and the Netherlands. At the end of the season, QPR travelled to Nigeria for a three game tour.
