QPR continued play in the Championship, finishing below mid table. In the FA Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Sheffield Wednesday. In the Carabao Cup, QPR were knocked out in the second round by Portsmouth. Prior to the season, QPR travelled to Austria for one match.

In early 2020, COVID-19 hit the world and all games were suspended by mid-March 2020. Some Leagues chose to terminate the season completely. The Championship, run by TV, were made to play out the remainder of the season. Thus, from 20 Jun 2020, the season recommenced. These were the original fixtures that were postponed.
