QPR were included in the inaugural Premier League, finishing fifth. In the FA Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Manchester City. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Sheffield Wednesday. Prior to the season, QPR travelled to Norway for a six game tour.
