QPR continued play in League Division 1, finishing mid-table. In the FA Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by Southampton. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by Manchester City in a replay. In the Zenith Data Systems Cup, QPR were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Crystal Palace. Prior to the season, QPR travelled to Sweden for a four game tour.
