QPR continued play in League Division 1, finishing below mid-table. In the FA Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by Manchester United. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Leeds United. In the Zenith Data Systems Cup, QPR were knocked out in the second round by Southampton. Prior to the season, QPR travelled to Sweden for a four game tour.
