League Division 2: 5th (of 22) - 18 wins, 13 draws, 11 losses; 75 goals scored, 53 goals conceded

QPR returned to play in League Division 2, where they finished fifth just below the promotion places. In the FA Cup, they were knocked out in the third round by Watford. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the fourth round by Wolverhampton Wanderers in a replay. At the beginning of the season, QPR had a three game tour of Denmark plus one game in Ireland.
