League Division 2: 2nd (of 24) - 25 wins, 8 draws, 9 losses; 67 goals scored, 36 goals conceded

QPR returned to play in League Division 2 following the previous season's promotion and finished second, thus gaining promotion to League Division 1 for the first time in the club's history. In the FA Cup they were knocked out in the third round by Preston North End. In the League Cup, QPR were knocked out in the third round by Burnley. At the end of the season, QPR had a two game tour of Spain.
