QPR continued play in Division 3 (South) and continued their improvement from the past few seasons. In the FA Cup, QPR reached the third round, losing to Charlton Athletic in a replay. The season also saw the club banned from playing at their home ground for one match owing to crowd problems. That match was the 1 Mar 1930 game against Coventry City and was played at Arsenal's Highbury ground.
