With the First World War now well and truly entrenched, football was played primarily as an aside. There were two competitions held, in succession. Clubs from throughout London participated, irrelevant of what Division they were involved in prior. Players were from various clubs and from the Army as many who had played for the clubs had enlisted prior and made their way to the Front. There were no Cup competitions.
