Southern League

Southern League: 8th (of 15) - 12 wins, 2 draws, 14 losses; 49 goals scored, 57 goals conceded

This was the first real move into professional football for QPR with the entry into the Southern League. There were initially 17 teams in the competition, but both Brighton United and Cowes withdrew from the League during the season. Owing to the withdrawal, a number of matches were rescheduled to different dates. While QPR finished mid-table during the League competition, they had an incredible FA Cup run, making it all the way to the 2nd Round Proper where they lost to Millwall Athletic. The biggest scalp was Division 1 club Wolverhampton following a replay in the 1st Round Proper. There is no record of participating in any other Cup competition as they had in the previous years. Given the Cup run, there were more than likely a large number of postponed games.
